“Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, Whispering 'it will be happier'...” ― Alfred Lord Tennyson
Every new year is a fresh beginning. Just like the first day of school when I opened up a new notebook and felt as though that school year would be better than the last. It seems foolish of me to speak of these things after COVID-19. We were entering a new decade as well as a new year, a year that feels lost to me now. I send up my prayers for all those souls who suffered. Like September 11th, I don't think these feelings will ever go away. Hope is the only thing that keeps us going.
