"We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty."
— Maya Angelou
I had never had a garden before. This was a new experience for me, and one I continue to look forward to every spring. I tend my flowers and butterfly bushes in hopes of attracting these beautiful creatures to my garden. Their lives are short, and they have been through many changes to get to where they are. When they grace us with their presence, we remember that life is precious and beautiful, and that we too should drink in the elixir of life that can be found every day in nature.
